Types of double-sided tapes

3M 9495LE (see data sheet)
The 3M(TM) 9495LE double-sided adhesive is an acrylic adhesive (0.1 mm) with reduced surface energy applied on a polyester foil.
Additionally, it has a coated kraft paper liner (0.10 mm thick). The 3M 300LSE acrylic adhesive combined with this tape guarantees excellent bond strength to most surfaces, including various types of plastics with reduced surface energy (e.g. polypropylene, powder coating, etc.).
It boasts excellent adhesion to surfaces with slight oil contamination.
The polyester ensures dimensional stability and better handling of the tape when cutting reels and die-cutting.
The processed kraft paper can withstand high levels of humidity and minimal curling or folding.

3M 9080HL (see data sheet)
3M™ 9080HL is a double-sided adhesive tape made of paper-coated non-woven fabric. It is a high tack adhesive, suitable for bonding LSE materials and with excellent performance at high temperatures. The thickness of this tape is 0.160 mm.
The 9080HL tape is specially designed for high and low speed splicing applications, followed, if necessary, by heat treatment or other oven conditions. The tape offers very strong adhesion to paper and board and many plastic film substrates, including polypropylene, polyethylene and PVC.

3M 5604A VHB (see data sheet)
3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes VHB™ 5604A are pressure-sensitive, 0.4 mm thick, double-layer tapes for bonding metals and other materials with high surface energy. They have excellent temperature resistance and can be used for gluing metal parts prior to painting.

TESA 4965 (see data sheet)
tesa® 4965 is a transparent double-sided tape made up of a PET liner and a tackified acrylic adhesive, with a thickness of 205 µm. It is suitable for challenging applications, such as high stress, temperatures up to 200°C, or critical substrates. tesa® 4965 boasts a particularly reliable hold, even on substrates with low surface energy. The tape is highly resistant to ageing, moisture and UV radiation and can withstand plasticisers and chemicals. tesa® 4965 has good adhesion and can be used immediately after assembly.
